Celebrities from Rosario

Rosario is well-known for its flourishing cultural activity in many art disciplines not only nationwide but worldwide. The city has given Argentina prominent characters in a variety of fields such as painting, music, acting, literature, philosophical and political thought and sports as well. Below you can see a small number of different representatives such as Antonio Berni; Roberto Fontanarrosa with his most popular character Inodoro Pereyra; Litto Nebbia; Juan Carlos Baglietto; Fito Paez; Darío Grandinetti; Ernesto Che Guevara; Alberto Olmedo; Luciana Aymar and Lionel Messi.

Roberto Fontanarrosa was born in 1944 in Rosario. He is a humourist writer. He made comics and jokes about charetes connected with argentina costumes.
The most important was “Inodoro Pereyra” and his dog “Mendieta”.
Roberto has written a lot of best sellers such as: La gansada, Los trenes matan a los autos, El mundo ha vivido equivocado, No se si he sido claro, Nada del otro mundo, El mayor de mis defectos, La mesa de los galanes.
Fontanarrosa has also helped the musical group, Les Luthiers.
His humour is based on the games of the word, on the fables ( the dog that talk), etc.
Or like others heroes such as Boogie the oiled or Harry the dirty.
“El chiste -ha dicho Fontanarrosa- generalmente apunta a un lado y pega en otro. Creo que
ese es un componente fundamental de la comicidad. Por lo menos, es lo que a mí me hace reír”.

Cindy De Paris, Eugenia Marasciuolo, Ligia Florio Pardo, Maximiliano Fechenbach y Ramiro Silvi
